I color grade motion pictures, develop DCTLs (custom grading tools for DaVinci Resolve), write scripts to speed up post production workflows, and teach others to do the same.
I've developed over 40 custom color grading tools for
DaVinci Resolve that help thousands of colorists around
the world speed up their workflows and create stunning
looks.
I'm currently in the process of
merging with PixelTools, so my DCTLs are split between
two stores.
Here's a collection of some of my favorite projects I've worked on.
I offer a range of services to help you bring your vision to life. Whether you're a filmmaker, a production company, or an agency, I can help you make your project look its best.
Enhance your feature film, short film,
commercial or music video with color grading,
making your piece stand out from the crowd.
Available in-person in Tallinn,
Estonia and remotely worldwide.
I'll work with you to create a Show LUT for your
project that can be used on-set and during
editing to see a close approximation of the
final grade.
This will save time in post, because
the DP and director can make better informed
decisions on set.
Finalize your project with mastering services that combine video, the audio mix, graphics and subtitles into the final master files ready for everything from YouTube to the cinema and OTTs like Netflix.
Deliver your films with industry-standard Digital Cinema Packages (DCP), ensuring compatibility and high-quality projection in cinemas worldwide.
Whether you're interested in learning about color
grading, developing DCTLs, Python for automating
post-production workflows, or about DaVinci Resolve in
general, I can teach you.
As a
DaVinci Resolve Master Trainer, I run masterclasses for Blackmagic Design, create
insights on MixingLight.com, share my knowledge on
YouTube, teach at a multimedia high school in Tallinn,
and do one-on-one coaching.
Do you feel like you're stuck and other
workshops and masterclasses don't seem to
help?
I offer one-on-one coaching
sessions to help you advance your skills and
career.
I offer in-person and remote teaching for
schools, universities, and companies.
Whether
you're interested in color grading, DCTL
development, Python scripting or DaVinci Resolve
in general, I can create a class for your
students.
You can find my insights on MixingLight about developing Python scripts for automating post-production workflows: Python 101 series
I regularly post color grading related videos on my own YouTube channel: @KaurH
As a filmmaker and software developer, I have a unique viewpoint on the post-production process that allows me to create tools that do what you need, even if you can't quite put it into words.
We all have some annoying manual tasks, whether
it's managing VFX clips, sorting dailies, or
creating color groups for scenes.
Many
of these annoying tasks can be automated,
turning 30 minutes of painstaking work into just
a few clicks.
Is there a grading operation you love the look
of, but it's a compound node full of many
operations? Or are you using a camera, that's
log curve is yet to be supported in Resolve?
Custom
DCTLs might just be what you need.
Need help with your color pipeline, or just want
a second opinion on your project setup?
I
offer color consultation services to help you
get the most out of your project.
No display can be trusted for color critical
work without being calibrated.
I calibrate displays with Calman Studio and the
Portrait Displays C6 HDR2000 colorimeter in and
around Estonia.
